About us

The Writers in Prison Foundation is a charity that helps prisoners, ex-offenders and those at risk of offending acquire essential skills for successful rehabilitation, and a meaningful working life. It also works in the community in a wide range of environments from mental health to educational settings.

There’s more to it than that, of course, and more to us as individuals.  This section fills you in on a whole range of background info.  See Introduction to Writers in Prison for the lowdown on why we do this kind of work.

See Evaluations for an independent assessment of the quality of our work.

Go to Who We Are and What We Do for a more detailed look at our range of services.
