Commissioned and bespoke

Whether you are running a prison, providing learning to offenders, delivering services and support to ex-offenders or working with young people to prevent offending behaviour, Writers in Prison Foundation can help you to improve outcomes for your services and for the people you are supporting.

With many years of experience the Foundation can offer any of its existing programmes, adapt these to your requirements or provide a bespoke service tailored to your particular needs.

Our existing programmes include:

Stories Connect

Storytelling and Making

Practical sessions which remove the barrier of reading and writing and allow everyone to join in.  Stories can be tailor-made if rquired, as in our Storybook Dads/Mums Scheme, where stories are recorded and sent to distant family members.

Life Stories/Autobiographical Writing

Ten day course for competent writers to enable them to write their own stories.  Self-publishing can be offered.

Journalism/Magazines

Facilitate the gathering of material and desk top publishing of a magazine or newsletter passing on the relevant skills.

DVD

We can facilitate the making of DVDs by service users for service users.  Qualifications can be incorporated into the process depending on the time available.
